The Company's growing global sales network currently comprises 12 strategic business partners (government and commercial) and more than 100 resellers who use our products and services for a vast array of applications. GeoEye has over 700 employees and is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, with facilities in McLean, Virginia; Denver, Colorado; St. Louis, Missouri; Mission, Kansas; and Singapore. History
GeoEye was formed in January 2006 when Virginia-based ORBIMAGE purchased the assets of Colorado-based Space Imaging. One of our predecessor companies first began performing geospatial services for the U.S. government in July 1987. In March 2007, GeoEye acquired MJ Harden, enabling GeoEye to expand its offerings to include aerial imagery and specialized geospatial processing services. In December 2010, GeoEye purchased SPADAC, a Virginia-based geospatial predictive analytics company. GeoEye Analytics provides geospatial predictive analytic solutions to over 40 customers in key markets including defense, intelligence and homeland security.
GeoEye's corporate headquarters, located on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. in Herndon, Virginia, encompasses executive management and administrative activities, as well as being the primary operations center for the GeoEye-1 satellite.
GeoEye Analytics is a wholly owned subsidiary of GeoEye. GeoEye Analytics enhances the breadth of GeoEye's Information Services offerings by combining imagery services with solutions for in-depth location-based analytics – delivering true insight to customers worldwide.
GeoEye's Thornton office is the primary operations center for the IKONOS
GeoEye's St. Louis operations include advanced imagery processing capabilities for developing and producing GeoEye's innovative geospatial products and solutions.
MJ Harden, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GeoEye that provides aerial imagery products and services.
