I have been working at GeoInsight full-timeRecommendsRecommends
The company is conservatively run and has always been on solid financial footing, even through ownership transitions. Producing high quality reports and providing environmental strategies that focus on the client's needs (commonly including outside-the-box thinking) are of ultimate concern. Hours are flexible but everyone works very hard (what do you expect, it is consulting). Company finances are open book (except for staff salaries) and time/sales goals for everyone are available for everyone to see. Project management opportunities are provided to young staff provided they show the technical competence and maturity.
The upper level management and seniors do not suffer fools and the progress/growth for mediocre staff can be very slow. I suspect that is why some previous ratings for this company (probably by people who have been let go) is so low. Staff who are ambitious and are willing to work hard are given the ability to shine and can be well compensated. Inspiration largely has to come from individual staff and there is little "rah-rah" cheerleading going on as most seniors are either busy getting work or reviewing work.
Advice to Management
Keep the eyes on high quality and good clients and try to be a bit more inspirational to junior staff. I am proud to work for this company.
