competitive salary, decent equipment, nice office, free coffee, good location, the programming and design teams that were in place were friendly and competent
Overtime was not only expected, but it was demanded into the night, on weekends, and on vacation very frequently, and overtime was completely unpaid, despite CA law stipulating otherwise. Deadlines were completely unreasonable and projects were given out with no understanding of time necessary and with no direction or vision. Verbal abuse was a frequent happening, making the work environment hostile. Paychecks were often late, and final paycheck still hasn't been paid after four months and is tied-up in legal proceedings for a string of ex-employees. Senior management was completely incompetent and lacked integrity across the board. There was no HR in place, and thus, no one with whom to communicate issues. In addition, no information was provided to employees as to how vacation and other HR policies worked. Long hours of work was done frequently on projects that were a whim and senior management never even followed-through. Overall, a nightmare of a company. Would recommend staying FAR away.
Advice to Management
Senior Management should lead a team by inspiration. GetFugu management should learn to treat people with respect, keep their word, and realize that operating with cowardice and a complete lack of integrity is no way to go through life.

I applied online. The process took a day – interviewed at GetFugu (West Hollywood, CA) in January 2010.
I have interviewed software manager 1:1 about my background skills and algorithm development history then he asked "Can you do something special algorithm development rapidly?" and I said 'yes' then got an offer.
Salary negotiation was simple. I asked salary range for the position and he said the range then offered max of the range.
