    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Gillig Corporation full-time

    Pros

Good compensation, work/ life balance, and job security. You likely won't ever need to look for another job, as seen by many long-term people there. Feels like family.

    Cons

Not so good career development. Not the place to be if you want to learn and grow in industry standards, skills and methodologies. Stay here too long and you may not be able to find another job even if you wanted.

    Advice to Management

Be intentional about developing your employees. Offer training, develop a structure for advancement, provide opportunities for personal growth, participate in non-profit activities outside of the company.

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gillig Corporation (Hayward, CA).

    Interview

There were about 4 or 5 people who interviewed me. The questions were straight forward, but the whole process was very long. Expect to be there the entire day. I was exhausted by the end of the day.

The bus maker has the capacity to turn out as many as 1,300 vehicles annually. Founded in 1890, Gillig was ... More
