OUR HISTORY

Globant was founded in 2003 by Martín Migoya (CEO), Guibert Englebienne (CTO), Martín Umarán (Chief of Staff), and Nestor Nocetti (EVP of Corporate Affairs). Our founders’ vision was to create a Latin American based company that would become a leader in the delivery of innovative software solutions for global clients, while generating world-class career opportunities for IT professionals.

From inception, we have benefited from strong organic growth and have built a blue-chip client base comprised of leading global companies. We have expanded our delivery centers from one to 25 ( Buenos Aires, La Plata, Tandil, Rosario, Cordoba, Resistencia, Bahia Blanca, Tucuman, Montevideo, Bogotá, Medellín, México DF, São Paulo, San Francisco, Boston, Austin and London), where more than 3300 Globers work every day. 

On July 2014, we did our IPO on the NYSE, and we became the first software company from Latin America to do an IPO in the USA. 

We have garnered several awards and recognitions from organizations such as Endeavor, Global Services, the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and InfoWorld, and we have been the subject of business-school case studies on entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and Stanford University.

We have benefited from the support of our investors Riverwood Capital and FTV Capital, which have provided equity capital to support our strategic expansion and growth. In January 2012, Endeavor Global, an organization devoted to selecting, mentoring and accelerating high-impact entrepreneurs around the world, invested in our company.

  • Choose your project: At Globant, we simultaneously work on over 400 projects. Through our Open Positions we publish the list of available projects for you to choose the most suitable one according to your interests

  • Choose your city: We have 25 delivery centers in 16 cities from Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and the United States. Our Globers can move to a different city if they wish to and if their projects allow them to, thus promoting decentralization of opportunities

  • Work and learn from professionals that were involved in revolutionary projects: PhD's, bio technologists, nuclear engineers, one of the co-creators of the WIFI Standard, open source collaborators and university professors are part of our team. You will be able to learn from them through our Mentoring program 

  • Stay ahead of the latest trends: We offer continuous training in new technologies and trends, career plans and Flip Thinking Sessions where we invite speakers like Miguel San Martin, ideator of the Curiosity on Mars, and Andi Gutmans, co-creator of PHP.

Our clients include Google, Linkedin, Coca Cola, Electronic Arts, Southwest Airlines, Embraer, Fox, NatGeo and more. We are one of the few companies that can give you a broad portfolio of renowned brands to work for, without having to move from one company to the other.  

  • Focus on a specific technology or practice. Our teams are not divided by industries. We are organized by practices or technologies. These groups, called Studios, are designed so that our Globers are able to become subject matter experts, focalizing their trainings on different pockets of knowledge.

Our signature program is TesteAR, an initiative that seeks to increase employment opportunities for disadvantaged youth in our surrounding communities ranging from 18 to 25 years old by training them in manual software testing.

    Application

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeksinterviewed at Globant in April 2015.

    Interview

    The review is not about the interview. But about their selection process. The worst company to apply for. No proper planning. The interview had two rounds of technical interview. After that, I have been given with a very good offer(Which I came to know later that it is not). Then the drama started. They have given the joining date as three weeks from then cause the VISA transfer may take time. After two weeks of time, they said the they are going for regular processing as the USCIS is not accepting premium processing for the next two months. I was eagerly waiting with my hopes still ON. After another three weeks of time, they said the project has been called off so they are revoking the offer. I have no one to blame but myself for turning out other offers during this period and wasting my two months of time. At the end, I am left with nothing but frustration and a lesson. Back to job search. I heard this recently while watching #GameOfThrones. Every Hurt is a lesson and every Lesson makes you better.
