The key to our future...

Who we are and what we do is nearly as old as the Internet itself, GoDaddy was born to give people an easy, affordable way to get their ideas online. Today, we have more than 12 million customers around the world, but our goal is much the same. We're here to help people easily start, confidently grow and successfully run their own ventures. In short, to help them WIN, online and off!

We are thousands of extraordinary and passionate individuals united by a singular vision that will change the world. We are bent on action, selflessly transparent and driven to create uncommon outcomes for our customers. We own outcomes, approaching our work fearlessly, learning quickly, improving constantly and celebrating our wins at every turn. We are the heart, soul and voice of GoDaddy and we will go to the ends of the earth to reach our goals. We are the key to our future…and our future is big!

A Culture of Creativity.

GoDaddy hires the best talent, gives them the best training and tools and sets them loose to change the world. We are bent on action, selflessly transparent and driven to create uncommon outcomes for our customers. Every single day, we stare down the impossible until the impossible blinks.

OUR VALUES are witnessed every day in our company's culture and are declaration of who we are. Our values are the North Star for every member of Team GoDaddy and power our success. Our values help each of us be our best selves and are paramount to how we attract, hire, promote and reward the world's best employees.

BE EXTRAORDINARY. Extraordinary achievement is how we make a difference. Working at GoDaddy is a life-changing experience that offers people an environment to learn, grow and do the best work of their career. We will create an exceptional tomorrow by being extraordinary today.

OWN OUTCOMES. Every line of code, every pixel, every interaction with a teammate, customer or partner is a chance to change the world. Our actions and results speak for themselves. We work toward the best possible outcome because we are passionate about our customers. We bring humanity to technology that helps our customers achieve their dreams.

JOIN FORCES. As a team, we move the company toward its vision. When I can help others, I do. Great teams multiply individual talents. Great teammates make others better without taking credit. We win together and lose together. Together, we celebrate our successes and learn from our failures.

BE FEARLESS. We innovate and take risks to achieve uncommon outcomes. We are curious and not afraid of experimentation or failure. We take risks and try new ways of doing things. There are valuable discoveries and lessons to be learned everywhere. We ask questions, we seek to understand, we give feedback and challenge the status quo. We measure our results and continually grow and improve.

LIVE PASSIONATELY. A healthy life fueled by fun and passion for a better world shows in our work. To truly take care of our customers, we begin by taking care of each other and ourselves. Finding meaning and personal fulfillment enables us to be at the top of our game. Our health and time away from the office are as important to us as being extraordinary at work.

Giving back to the communities where we work, live and play.

GoDaddy believes that its responsibility as a corporate citizen is to make a difference in the communities in which it operates. As part of that philosophy, GoDaddy contributes to nonprofit organizations that focus on causes which are meaningful to our business, our customers, our employees and our community.

I have been working at GoDaddy full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun work environment (ping pong, go carts, rock wall, etc.)
Cheap meals for breakfast and lunch and provide healthy options.
Most supervisors are cool to work with and help you get to where you're going.
Great benefits, good pay, and plenty of opportunities to win things.
Like to hire within more than outside (for tier two jobs like advanced tech support).
Plenty of resources to get your job done.
Endless career opportunities as they're always hiring!
Good work/life balance. You work your 40 hours per week and they don't require overtime (but they do take volunteers when needed)
They have a gym with lockers/showers/towel service.
Also, if you're working on the phones, you will have a minimum sales tier you need to hit. It can be hard at times, but if you're good at talking with people, you won't have a problem with it.

    Cons

Turning into micromanaging; constant change in management and employee policies.
Not only do you have to call an attendance line to call out (which is totally fine), you have to call your supervisor and let them know you will be out too (even if it's at 3 am...weird!)
If you are late and don't have sick time, you are on a final written warning for 1 year. If you are late while on a final written warning within that 1 year period, you will lose your job.
"Availability" is how much time you're logged on to your computer. As much cool & fun things there are to do here, you really don't have any time to take advantage of it while on the clock. (but really, you should be working anyways.. right? ;) )

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I understand change, and that GoDaddy is a business that needs to be ran properly so they can provide the best customer service and make money, but it's starting to feel like we're in the first grade again, and not being treated like responsible working adults.

Technical Support and Sales Representative Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Gilbert, AZ
Anonymous Interview Candidate in Gilbert, AZ
    Application Details

I applied through other source – interviewed at GoDaddy.

    Interview Details

I was able to go to a hiring event that you had to be invited to by a current employee. I interviewed for their outbound sales department, but was hired in to inbound technical support. The recruiter was awesome and professional at the same time. I got hired in one interview with him. I also needed to complete a computer test to make sure I knew the basics like how to copy and paste and how many words per minute I could type, etc.

    Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate the salary as every inbound technical support rep is paid the same and it's non negotiable.
