    Pros

    Growth Potential: The agency allows you plenty of room for growth and professional development by identifying your talents and helping you leverage them.

    Supportive Management: Senior Management, including the President, support your career goals and help you create a plan to achieve them. You never feel "stuck" because if an opportunity does not exist they are not against creating one for you.

    Employee Value: Coming into this agency it was empowering to learn that every employee, regardless of rank, is encouraged to provide input in the annual business plan. This agency supports innovation and creativity and hires employees that are driven and strive for excellence.

    Benefits: PTO and Fitness Program Reimbursement are great perks!

    Cons

    Workload: As employees do grow and transition the workload may get overwhelming. On the other hand, you quickly learn to become more effective at time management. But there are also resources provided by HR to help employees establish a healthy work/life balance along with fun social activities to help improve culture.

    Fast-paced: Depending on your viewpoint, the agency moves fast and if you are not able to adapt and learn quickly you will get left behind. Fortunately co-workers are helpful and supportive, once you get your bearings it is great.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to support employee growth and provide activities that allow a fun break from the workday.

    Application

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Gragg Advertising (Kansas City, MO).

    Interview

    I applied with an Employee referral and was called maybe 3 days after applying online. I got a general phone interview with HR within a day or 2. Had a group interview within a few days and then an offer quickly after that. Whole process took no more than 2 weeks. Interviewed with a group of 3, someone from HR, Department Director and who I would work directly. Atmosphere was relaxed and we interviewed in what they called the Living Room where they have comfy chairs around a little coffee table. Dress of interviewers and whole place is fairly casual.

    • They hire a lot of recent grads so questions were pretty standard. The interview did feel more like a conversation and not too rigid and cold.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

    was offered $32k and tried negotiating $35k (expecting them to come down in the middle) but they were not willing to negotiate.
