    I have been working at Grand Prairie Independent Schools District full-time for more than 8 years


    It is still small enough that you can know a lot of the people in the district.


    At some point, GP grew before the money was there. They are constantly playing catch-up now. For example, this year each teacher received an I-pad to use in their classroom for instruction. Other places in the state received I-pads for each student!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you are really striving for growth in academics, then put your money where your mouth is. Don't keep spending money on contest after contest for the tractor-builders to go to. After all, where is the bang for our buck. We need all of our elementary children to read on grade-level by the time they leave the elementary so they are ready for the rigors of middle and high schools.
