Great growth opportunities
“I started my career working in a full-service salon, but soon discovered that I was allergic to many of the harsh chemicals we used for coloring hair, so I had to leave. Just when I was thinking I’d have to consider a new career, a friend told me to check out Great Clips since they don’t do coloring or waxing. After applying for a job, I was hired, and I’ve never been happier in my career. It never feels like work because I love spending my days with my great co-workers and I get to meet new people every day and make them look and feel great! Great Clips is a wonderful company to work for, and I am thankful to be a part of it.”
"I came to work for Great Clips soon after moving to another state. I found myself starting over and knew that this company could provide me with an instant clientele and that I would be able to make money without worrying about starting somewhere new. I love my shop because of the family feel I get from my coworkers. I look forward to to coming to work because it feels like home."
“I’ve been with Great Clips for more than six years, and I’m loving every minute of it! I get to make people feel better about themselves every day, and I work with a great group of stylists. I’ve always loved doing hair and learning new techniques that are taught to me by Great Clips corporate staff.”
“I’ve always wanted to be a hairstylist, so as soon as I finished high school, I enrolled in cosmetology school. During school, I was told that I needed to work for a full-service salon to make really good money, so I checked out all my options. It was important that I made money right away and that there were education and growth opportunities — Great Clips turned out to be the place for me! Within one month of working, I was promoted to assistant manager, and then six months later, I was managing my own salon! I’ve been with Great Clips for eight years now and am managing two salons. I absolutely love my job!”

Great Clips is a unique family-centered business with a strong corporate culture. At Great Clips, strong relationships are the heart of our individual and company success. The relationships we build with each other and our franchisees are grounded in our core values:
We are kind.
We listen and earn trust.
|We keep it simple.|| |
|We focus on execution.|| |
|We exceed expectations.|| |
We make it fun.
Great Clips has always worked to strengthen the people and communities we serve. And we’re proud to contribute our time, talents and resources to a variety of great causes.
Great Deeds® is a challenge to ourselves—a call to action for all our salons, partners and friends, to keep remembering what makes us great—the people and the communities where we live and work. Through that loyalty and support, Great Clips is able to contribute millions of dollars to great causes every year. "It’s a big world, and one of the most important benefits of being a successful company is being fortunate enough to contribute on a bigger scale," said Great Clips CEO Rhoda Olsen.
The four main focus areas of our Great Deeds program are Community, Health, Support and Appreciation.
Community: Our salon owners are independent business people who live and work in communities across North America. Together with their team, customers and neighbors, salon owners help strengthen those communities. Whether it’s supporting a local hospital, cleaning a park, or hosting a cut-a-thon for cancer research, Great Clips makes a difference with acts of greatness, big and small.
Health: Support for organizations that have a great impact on people’s physical and mental wellness is another focus area for Great Clips. Many salons support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by selling the iconic Miracle Balloon in salons, and hosting events like cut-a-thons, silent auctions or bake sales. Great Clips is also a proud supporter of CUT IT OUT, a program of the Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund.
Support: When you experience life’s most difficult challenges, it’s nice to know there are great people who care and want to help. Great Clips' newest program, Clips of Kindess℠, provides complimentary clipper cuts to customers facing hair loss due to cancer treatment. Also, many Great Clips salons provide complimentary haircuts for people who donate to Wigs for Kids. Please note: Wigs for Kids is an optional program that some (not all) Great Clips salons offer to customers. If you would like to donate hair to Wigs for Kids, please call your local Great Clips salon first to find out if your salon participates in the program.
Appreciation: We believe it’s as important to celebrate great deeds as it is to do them. Through our Great Deeds® Online Giving program, you can nominate a great charity doing great things in your community. And who deserves appreciation more than the men and women who serve their country. On Veterans Day, we’re on a mission to thank veterans by giving customers at all Great Clips salons across the U.S. a free haircut card to give to a veteran. Cards are redeemable Nov. 12-Dec. 31.

You don't do color, BUT it's actually nice not having to do corrective color and spending 2 hours with the same person 😊

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Great Clips.
Quick interview, went over scheduling and skills,performed a haircut for the interviewer to check. They stressed keeping haircut times quick, and being available to work nights and weekends. Was asked if I was comfortable working in a fast paced environment, doing fades, women's cuts, and perms. Very nice and friendly.
