People in Green Bay office are mostly great (with a few exceptions).

Because the Press-Gazette is part of Gannett, there isn't a lot the local management can do when it comes to salary increases or layoffs. Whatever they are told to do, they have to do. And that has meant that over the past 5-7 years, staff has been cut to the point where it's making it almost impossible to put out a quality product - whether it's in advertising, the newsroom, creative, etc. The people who are left behind are left wondering if it wouldn't have been better to have their job eliminated. Horrible for morale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to Gannett: I understand you need to make money. But the cuts have been so extreme that it's seriously hurting morale and maybe more important to you -- the quality of your product. The goal should not be "good is good enough." Strive to do the best you can -- always. Customers see it for what it is - eventually they're not going to keep paying more for less.
