Groendyke Transport – Why Work For Us?

Groendyke Means Safety & Quality First

Groendyke Transport is one of the largest tank-truck carriers in the nation. We bring more than 80 years of expertise to liquid bulk shipping operations.

Achieving the utmost in bulk carrier value has been our tradition since 1932, when Harold C. Groendyke founded our company. Today, we continue this tradition under the leadership of his son, Chairman and CEO John D. Groendyke.

Today’s leading manufacturers of chemical, petroleum, and bulk products number among our many valued customers. Like your company, they demand the solid, long-standing performance record and responsible, leading-edge technology that we put to work around the clock, 365 days a year.

Throughout North America, we operate with industry-recognized on-time performance and unparalleled dedication to safe and responsive service. You can be sure that as an ISO 9001-registered carrier, we have the highest-quality commitment and processes in place to meet your most stringent qualifications with each and every load—more than 420,000 last year alone.

Groendyke is dedicated to being your partner in progress.

Whatever You Do, Give It 110%.

When you're out there on the road, you're the boss. And nobody knows that better than James Starr. With more than 26 years of service at Groendyke, he's practically seen everything and done everything.

The secret to his success: Taking ownership of his job and acknowledging the weight of responsibility he carries with him every day.

As James will tell you, being a driver demands focus, flexibility, knowledge, and courage. You have to give the job 110 percent. Which is why he can boast a record of 3 million safe miles—and counting.

And because of his impeccable safety record, he has earned membership into “The President's Club” at Groendyke. An honor proudly displayed on the door of his tractor along with his name.

Now that's what we call taking command of a career.  Additional Drivers

I have been working at Groendyke Transport full-time (more than 5 years)

They have a great training program. Every new employee has the opportunity to get the latest, safest, and thorough training. Upper management is very approachable. Opportunities to move up in the company. The have a outstanding tuition reimbursement program.

The hourly pay could be better. My local Terminal Manager is not very approachable. Lines at the refinery can kill a good pay check.
