I worked at Grom Associates as a contractor (less than a year)Pros
Lots of energy and attractive advertising.Cons
Lots of energy..no follow through. Do not believe the hype, it is what is under the cover that counts.
If you send them a resume you have to do it again because there does not seem to be a central repository.
Late payment. If they say net 30 add more time than that. The attitude seems to be they don't care if you have bills to pay or need to get the credit card paid as long as they do their thing. This is not the same Grom which cared about all it's people. As everything times have changed.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Contractors should not have to wait for client to pay before getting paid, even on a net 30. When it was mentioned I was told, "It is better than most companies do." I have only once had a more than net 30 on being paid and that was because of a clerical error on the company's side. Communication should be open and honest, not ignored or smug attitude. This is not the Grom I worked with before years ago and now I know why people warned me. Now I won't again. Anything that has Grom on it I will not work and I will warn others about it also.Doesn't RecommendNo opinion of CEO
