I worked at Health & Hospital Corp of Marion County full-time (More than 3 years)RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEO
I loved my career at HHC, loved my manager, the people, it was great. Many of my coworkers I am very good friends with today, years after I had worked there. I felt like I was really contributing to a great cause, helping people and seeing the efforts of the health department at work in our community.
Not too much room for advancement there in my field
Advice to Management
I have praise, not advice. Management always were respectful and were very supportive. Most people there are hard workers and are doing great things for the community.

I applied online – interviewed at Health & Hospital Corp of Marion County.
Expect to have an initial interview with the hiring manager, and if considered for the position, a follow-up second interview will be scheduled with several members of the team you would be hired onto. It takes several weeks from the initial resume sending until you actually hear if you are hired or not. The HR department has to complete a thorough background check.
- The most difficult part of my second interview was that seven people from the team that was hiring was present and that means seven different people were thinking of questions to ask of me. This interview lasted over an hour and it was draining answering all of their questions and not knowing if you were hired for several more days. Best advice: Stay calm, answer all questions to the best of your ability, and don't sit around waiting for a job offer that same day! Answer Question
Do to years of previous work experience, my salary was higher than a typical starting salary for this position. Also, there is an additional increase for nurses that speak a foreign language.
