Company allows customer to dictate too much. Should be more stringent on keeping with the contractual agreements. Too many times, HP employees are told this is the way it is, until the customer begins complaining or giving poor rating scores, all of a sudden the customer facing HP employee feels alone and the whining is addressed from higher levels and brushes aside the HP employee. Making them feel incompetent and wondering what their responsibilties are and do they serve a purpose?Advice to ManagementAdvice
Allocate more of your time to mentoring. Pick one person a quarter and challenge them with a task. Encourage them to excel and look for someone to provide opportunity. Companies this large, it is difficult to grasp the bigger picture when you're just a toad maintaining your pond of lilly pads. How does someone understand how each of the business units work together? Of do they, or are they each their own entities that contribute to the HP bottom line?Approves of CEO
