Former Employee - Performance Support Administrator in Camp Hill, PA

I worked at Highmark full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Highmark encourages growth and provides many development resources and opportunities for its employees. The campus itself offers non traditional services for employees to make their work life easy.

    Cons

Changes are rapid and at times employees most impacted feel they were out of the loop during the decision making process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to build a coaching culture and support any opportunity for employee engagement. Spend time listening to employees with the intent to hear not just to formulate a response or party line for all.

    Application Details

    I applied in-person – interviewed at Highmark.

    Interview Details

Very brief and informal, but personal interview. They wanted to know why I wanted to work at Highmark, what my availability would be like over the summer, and if I was agreeable to the summer internship program with everything that it entailed. The finalization process was long because of the restructuring of the company with a new CEO, and I had to go through a couple of phone screenings to offer references and the like before being able to have my personal interview.
