I have been working at Hoosier Park full-time (more than 5 years)

This newer casino in Indiana pays well above in both casino and racetrack areas compared to most hospitality/entertainment companies. Servers/bartenders, casino floor operations and most positions that are hourly are $3+ per hour above min. wage. Specifically in the food and ververage server positions. Benefits are solid with med/dental and vision. 401k and PTO packaging above average. Employee programs and opportunity to promote are priority.

24/7 and 365 but fair scheduling in place.

    Positive Outlook

    Interview Details

It was mass hiring. They take you to a cubical or small office. It's usually a shift manager that conducts the interview process. Ask a lot of questions about customer service and scenarios. How would you react to this or that. Mainly a very pointless interview because they mainly hire based on your looks. So...come looking nice.

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing unexpected. It was the general questions during every interview I have ever had.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
After interview it took a couple of days to get a call. After that it takes about 2weeks to get in for human resource training sessions. Then, you have to get license approval from gaming commission. Then you usually train for at least 1-2 weeks depending on your job type.
