    I worked at Hu-Friedy full-time (more than a year)

The culture here was phenomenal. Great co-workers that truly live the values of the company. No matter where you go, you will run into negative co-workers, but Hu-Friedy limits that through the cultural interview process and making sure people are the right fit for their culture. Development was also big at Hu-Friedy. Lots of opportunities to attend in-house training and other external seminars. They truly want to promote within the company and are on a great path for growth. The team I worked with was also tremendous. Teamwork is big there and it was refreshing to be able to go into work everyday and enjoy it.

Pay was extremely low. Compared to what others in my field were making, I knew it was time to leave when I did. I received a decent merit increase after my first year, but still felt very underpaid. My decision to leave was based solely on this, other than pay, it was a great experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I noticed a lot of turnover during my tenure there. If they left for money as well, it would make sense. Most people I spoke to there felt very underpaid compared to other people in their field. I completely understand your strategy to pay low and sell the great culture, but it won't work in retaining your top talent. I am currently working somewhere that offers great pay and has an almost identical culture. It can be done and your retention will be better.

Interview process was very quick.. received an offer in a short amount of time. Had some issues with the post offer review though. Seemed to take longer than expected. Had the process gone faster and more smoothly, I would have happily accepted the job.
