I have been working at Huntington National Bank full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Loved the corporate culture, not too big but not too small. My co-workers are wonderful...real friends. Positive atmosphere for the most part. Wonderful benefits (other than medical insurance...only offer consumer directed high deductible health plans)

    Cons

Lack of room for upward mobility - depending on what you want to do. Slightly cheap on salary (who isn't these days). Technology is from the stone age!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees, they are on the front lines dealing with customers day in and day out. Do not wait until a corporate wide survey slams the bank for what we say week after week in our meetings. Upgrade technology, NOW!

I applied through other source. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Huntington National Bank in April 2013.

    Interview Details

I was given this job by my manager. I was already working for them as their Teller Supervisor. Many jobs are like this within the branch; if you work hard and have a good rapport with your manager, they will offer you promotions when they open up.

    Negotiation Details
Yes. HR tried to get me to accept the position at a lower salary than what I wanted but I stood my ground and told them that if I didn't get what I had asked for then I would decline the position. They were desperate to fill the position so in the end I got the salary that I had requested.
