In my particular division, the compensation was well above average. The level of management that was over me was quite competent.
Upper level mangement primarily consisted of a lot of MBA's and bean counter who severely lacked any real hands-on experience and thus had problems interacting with our customer base.
Advice to Management
Upper-level management should have to attain more hands-on experience more especially with the clientele.
