    Great place to work

I have been working at IJM full-time (more than 5 years)

Solid mission with good leadership at the top. Good opportunities to grow in your career doing life changing work. Great benefits.

Organization can be a bit rigid tough to change. Staff sometimes fear failure and will go over board in making sure everything is setup perfectly before moving forward on a project.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at IJM in May 2012.

    Interview Details

Three Phone Interviews over 2 and a half months. (Heard back each time after 2-2.5 weeks) Each interview lasted around 1 hour. Interviews went into very specific of the job specifications. I would advise having many specific examples for each job specification. Also, it seems to be much better to have much more experience than they state in their advertisement.

People seemed very nice and friendly.

Office, as many NGOs are, seemed understaffed but trying to do their best.

Will ask you specific questions about your spirituality. Work culture seems to value modesty and similar norms.
