The Market Based Management philosophy helps us all think critically and make good business decisions. It's such an unfair advantage that I'd consider it confidential IP if Charles Koch didn't already write a book about it. "The Science of Success", you should read it especially if you're considering working here. High emphasis on value creation and results. Knowledge sharing and collaboration are encouraged. Not everyone will agree but I personally feel that the sky's the limit in terms of what I can contribute, by empowering myself and following what we call "Principled Entrepreneurship". You won't ever be criticized for applying MBM thinking. Respectful environment, people get along well, pretty fun place to work. If you're looking for work-life balance you can find it here, but it's probably better if you look somewhere else if that's really your thing.

Not ALL leaders embrace MBM. There are a couple of pretty egregious examples and it's demoralizing for the people in and around those work groups.

If you can't find fulfilment in your work, it's not INVISTA's problem it's yours. In other words, maybe a little cold to some on the human side but that comes with the territory in a management environment that stresses value creation and results.

    Advice to Management

MBM sets such a clear definition of what's expected of leaders that when it's not followed it's very obvious and very disappointing to the rank and file. You have leaders who give lip service to MBM, but in reality operate on politics and power. We all know who they are. Don't tolerate it. Charles wouldn't.
