I have been working at IPA Energy + Water Economics

A very meritocratic and non-hierarchical energy consultancy. Work is demanding, but achievers will be rewarded. Offers opportunities to travel to interesting countries.

The company sometimes suffers from constraints in managing those individuals who prefer a structured and routine environment. Self-starters will not be disappointed though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Generally the management is quite perceptive of the strengths and weakness of staff. On the other hand, the soft sides of management and internal communication is not managed well.

    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter - interviewed at IPA Energy + Water Economics in February 2010.

    Interview Details

I was hired very quickly. I had a telephone interview with the HR person followed by one with an executive director and was later joined by a Mgt Consultant. The interviews were easy and went well. The interview lasted about 45 mins. I was of the impression that this company were in a hurry to hire.

    Interview Questions
    • The greatest difficulty at the interview was for me to get a chance to say something. The interviewers kept talking and asked very few questions really.   View Answer
