The people care about one another and it's a very supportive and collaborative workplace. Employees are encouraged to direct their own work and implement ideas that they think will improve a process, product, or policy.
There's very little and inconsistent professional development support; some managers receive more training than others. Additionally, there's a tendency to take on more initiatives/projects than are feasibly possible for a team of IceStone's size to accomplish successfully. While this brings variety and opportunities to take on new challenges, it can also create dysfunction.
Advice to Management
Improve the sales support with more training, more short term strategies, and greater focus on the numbers. Don't overlook the ability of non-sales managers to offer strategic and tactical support in this effort.
