I have been working at Ignify full-time (More than 5 years)RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
Been working here for more than 5 years and the company has changed for the better. While there is a still a very strong entrepreneurial culture processes have gotten better, things are more streamlined and generally there is a bigger company attitude. Someone has worked hard to make that happen. Work/ Life balance has also improved. Working weekends though not at zero don't happen very often and frankly if you want zero working weekends then don't look at a career in IT. I'm able to spend quality time with my family and Ignify has helped me get loans, buy a house. I'm grateful for the opportunities I have been given. Company continues to grow and is very profitable.
Some things can still be adhoc. Travel can sometimes be an issue depending on your job - especially for consultants. However, travel is far lesser than other IT consulting firms from my experience.
Advice to Management
Can't really think of much to add. I think Ignify University is a good initiative but it should be made more regular and we should work on bringing in external coaches and trainers in addition to the peer to peer training.
Getting an Interview
Getting an Interview
- No OfferPositive ExperienceDifficult Interview
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at Ignify.
The process took three stages. First was a round 1 interview which was conducted by HR. This covered basics and general information confirmation about you and your experience. The second round was also a phone interview conducted by the same individual that was more in depth and was a test of your knowledge and experience. Once past that, you get an in person interview. My guess is the standard is to have several interviews over several days, but mine happen to be three interviews. All of which were back to back. The first is more of a ground level "Peer". The next is the supervisor of the division you will work in, and the third is the President of the particular pillar of the business you will be working for. Very organized and relatively comfortable environment and interview. I did very well with the first two, but a cultural gap and (this is only my personal opinion and it may be misinterpreted) also I felt a bit racist. The fact I was not India seemed to come up and be a factor. Again, only my opinion All interviewers were knowledgeable and very professional. They will not hesitate to push and test your knowledge, though not in a rude way (like has happened to me before).
