I worked at Illinois Tool Works as a contractor (less than a year)

The company pays fairly well and the majority of employees are happy to work there. Business trips are plentiful depending on your job a company phone and computer is provided.

The general management practices and styles are a bit old fashioned. ITW has a history of undergoing major changes which end up with significant restructuring and layoffs.

    Interview Details

Interview with 5 different Engineers from the company lasting about 2 hours. Questions included experience, hobbies, and some basic engineering problems. All said and done was about a two week period waiting for an answer, in which I was required to complete a drug screen and submit infor for credit/background checks. Pretty normal job process - some challenging questions.
