    I worked at InnovaSystems International full-time for less than a year


    Innova is a great place to work if you demand a sense that the people with and for whom you work really care - about you, your career, your health, and your family - and that your work really matters. Supporting the NSS is extremely rewarding, and the military overtones of the company's culture mean emphasis on things that are often overlooked or afterthoughts - e.g. PRTs to encourage physical fitness and life balance, Halloween for the whole Innova family at Chris and Lynn's house etc.


    Defense ups & downs with the political climate. Bleeding-edge technology sometimes not being an option where it has not been blessed by DoD et al.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Develop a strategy to diversify the company's interests such that defense ups & downs are not a concern. For example, bring Inspire! to Android.

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at InnovaSystems International in April 2012.

    Interview Details

    I was contacted by an Innova recruiter through LinkedIn then had a phone screen with him, a technical phone screen with a longstanding lead developer, and an in-person "murder board" panel interview with nearly nearly ten interviewers who had well over 100 years of combined military experience.

    Innova uses behavioral interviewing techniques extensively. Between behavioral and technical questions, they pretty thoroughly assess your personality and skills.
