The benefits are pretty great, Hours are flexible, Work from home (every 2 weeks) or Flexible Work Arrangements are available, we have a lot of freedom with our work, and my particular manager is very supportive of our decision. I enjoy the diversity of my workload, and am able to partake in projects (my forte).

Staff are mixed - some enjoy their jobs, others bring the whole environment down with their negative attitudes. I came from RBC Insurance, which was very positive and upbeat vs Intact. Hiring salary strategies are quite unfair and we are either underpaid or overpaid depending on if management wants to push you forward in your career. Words of valuing an employee can only go so far to paying regular day-to-day bills.

And the embarrasement of Senior Management butting heads all the time - it's so high school!

    Advice to Management

If people take on more responsibilities, a less-than-inflation annual raise won't suffice. All the praise in the world doesn't allow for us to have perks in life, like an annual vacation somewhere else, a weekend getaway, or even a new car.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Intact Insurance (Toronto, ON (Canada)).

Two round interview process. First one was with hiring manager, and hiring team members. Got called for a second round a few weeks later. This time with hiring manager and director. Went through resume both interviews, questioned about experiences and technical skills in detail. Additionally, asked some behavioral and situational questions.
