I found my immediate bosses were very helpful and very interested in my career development. Most teams consist of very experienced people who have deep knowledge of the satellite industry, but who are not so set in their ways that they can't keep learning new skills and improving their quality of work. I genuinely enjoyed working with the vast majority of my co-workers here. Interesting projects. Most people only rarely need to work weekends.

Massive layoffs occurred within days of upper management telling us there wouldn't be layoffs. They have laid off a lot more people since then. For that reason, I can't really recommend this company to others right now. No bench for people at the end of a project. No real flextime when I was working there.

    Advice to Management

Try harder to have a good bench program so that you don't lose good employees. Allow more flexible work schedules, and stop seeing employees who want them as lazy.
