“In 15 years, I have watched us take advantage of the potential we originally saw in the communications software space. We have completed product evolution, found new horizons for core offerings, and generated numerous opportunities for new software development."
“In my short time with Interactive Intelligence, I have quickly realized that I have joined a well-structured team of professionals on the cutting edge of today’s technology. It has been a pleasure working here.”
“I enjoy the strong bond between team members and the willingness of senior people to work with new employees. People are genuinely interested in helping their co-workers learn – which is a critical and rare benefit in the software industry. I cannot remember a day when I did not learn something new, and the opportunities for growth are tremendous."
“I have been associated with many sales teams in my career, and I can honestly say this is the most professional, team-oriented sales organization I have seen. Because we are all owners of this company, we all recognize that we have to push ourselves to be successful. This philosophy not only makes us stronger as an organization, it also allows team members to gain valuable experience and exposure."
“I have been at Interactive Intelligence for almost five years and can’t imagine working anywhere else. The corporate culture truly allows you to be yourself and rewards those who earn it. In my initial interview with the company, I said that I always want to be challenged, constantly learning, and never bored. I am proud to say that in the positions I’ve held here, those three items have always been met.”

I have been working at Interactive Intelligence as an intern (less than an year)Pros
They have many in house benefits that they keep open to their interns as well. With a motto "Work hard Play hard" they work at supporting both sides of that. The products are great, and they give free training classes so the employee is responsible for their own growth path and can get certified on Interactive Intelligence products or other topics as well. The atmosphere is one of open communication which improves on learnability.Cons
The largest con I can think of is the having to hold onto so much legacy test code in keeping support for outdated versions of the products. At the same time this is important for keeping our customer base, but it does make it harder for everyone to keep the same quality focus on every version. Plus it is harder to pass over projects because the receiver can be getting 3 or 4 test environments for one product.Advice to ManagementAdvice
The hardest part lately is staying on top of "what is" the top priority as projects people have spent working the last 6 months or more on are now all the sudden not important and people are now on this other project instead. This is bound to happen with any restructuring of teams, but it has left some confusion on what exactly is desired from those being left on their projects.RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO

“Let’s make legacy PBX telephone systems a thing of the past.” This isn’t the motto at Interactive Intelligence. But it could be. The company's software integrates a wide array of communication systems via VoIP technology – phone calls, voice mail, email, faxes, and web communications. Applications work seamlessly with enterprise messaging platforms such as Microsoft Exchange...
