I worked at Interstate Companies full-time

    Pros

Seems to be a stable company, average pay and average to mediocre benefits.

    Cons

No vision to exceed their current level. Technology is aged and needs to be updated. Management is mediocre and needs help to engage and manage employees. Some managers are great, others are not - a company this size cannot afford to not be great in all areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your managers in general people skills - learn how to listen instead of just react to what you do not want to hear. Listening may give you the opportunity to advance the company. create a long term vision for technology and move toward it. Hire managers with the right education to manage their employees. It's difficult to manage a staff and their workload if you really do not understand what they do.

    Neutral Outlook
