Being employed for a year, the company shows progressive methods to improve customer service, while trying to impact sales.
    - Pay is competitive
    - Work life balance is good for industry
    - Numerous programs to help increase sales
    - Good reputation (resume enhancer)
    - Constant focus on improvement
    - Provides flexibility for good employees
    - Numerous properties in portfolio for advancement

    - Company focuses on too many improvements to make it truly effective
    - Bonus structure isn't strong (owner group plays part in this)
    - Takes a year to earn vacation/sick benefits
    - Heavy bottom line focus

    Advice to Management

Focus on one or two items to improve upon per department. It will increase focus, thus bettering the chances of achieving goals.

I applied through other source – interviewed at Interstate Hotels (Jamaica, NY) in October 2014.

I applied online on h careers and I receive a call back from the director of operations and met with him . He was pretty much straight forward on what he wanted . He ask me questions about my work experiences , what hours I was available . It was very brief then he ask I meet with the assistant manger and again it was straight to the point and very brief . Receive call back two days later to meet with general manger and again it was brief straight to point . The same day one of the operation manger call me to tell I got the job the next day I went to sign papers and they had my name tag ready and schedule made when I clearly told them I needed two weeks notice so I can my current employer so they had me working both job in between my training .
