I have been working at Intrado full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The flexibility of my schedule. Being able to work remote when needed is great. Management is amazing by listening to what the developer needs and getting the proper tools to do their job. Having a cafeteria and gym in house is amazing.

    Cons

When in the office the network can be a bit of a issue. Connectivity, proxy and firewall issues can cause productivity to slow to a snails pace.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the projects that are successful and bring that to other areas and projects. In engineering look to promoting from with in. Having real technical manager's that can manage and can get there hands dirty when needed. No more manager's that just give status to other managers.

Phone interview, followed one week or so later with an on-site interview. HR questions such as "How do you handle an angry customer?" Technical questions were typical. A lot of focus for the HR folks is job history timeline, i.e. what, when, where. They never follow up or answer phone calls.
