I worked at Isaacson Miller full-time (More than 5 years)

Good selection of intelligent and interesting colleagues. The firm gets some of the best searches across all non-profit organizations from higher ed to arts and culture to environmental orgs. They are really well known -- strong brand. Nice culture to work in every day. Not hierarchical.

Not a very social office environment outside of work. Loose structure around some policies and practices in terms of search work. Search work is generally pretty stressful, and IM emphasizes client service above all else. Fairly flat organization with not a lot of opportunity for movement after a few years.

    Easy Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Isaacson Miller (Boston, MA).

I was called by one of their recruiters and when we both had time, we had about a 30 minute long phone interview. The interviewer was extremely friendly and outgoing. I had a follow up phone interview with a different recruiter who was also extremely friendly. Although ultimately I didn't get the position, I thought that they were a very warm and poised company.
