I have been working at JTEKT North America as an intern

    Pros

Interns are treated just like any other employee. Plenty of projects to work on and contribute to. People are easy to approach and work with; patient and provides any necessary training; are nice and put a lot of effort into their work. In short, great place to start a career and continue with it. Even though it is a big company, everybody seems to know everybody.

    Cons

The internship program is somewhat new and could use a little more structure. But other than that, none so far!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

With the way the company is expanding it would need a bigger facility soon

    Interview Details

I applied for an internship through my college roundtable and received a call for an interview a few months later. Had 1 phone interview and 1 on-site/lunch interview. In both the interviews I spoke with my supervisor and someone from HR. They were very nice and took me downtown for lunch. We talked about the internship position in details; the type of work, training, my background on the field, how I may be able to contribute. I was given a tour of the facility with the company history and we talked about upcoming projects that I might be working on.

    Interview Questions
    • The questions asked were straightforward and none of them were unexpected. I was asked about my motivation and we mostly talked about details from my resume.   Answer Question
