I worked at Jamco America full-time (more than a year)

Jamco has a semi casual work place for the technical staff. A polo was expected of me but jeans were ok. The kitchen cam stocked with tea and coffee. When I first started parking was easy but towards the end it was not. the management was ok, nothing to really say either way. There was a few high strung ones that I did not have to deal with but they seemed to not stay too long. Senior management seemed to not like the high stung ones either.

Seat time was valued just as high if not a little above performance. Unless you 'have pictures.' This refers to the pictures on some of the employees desks of them working at the parent company in Japan or hanging out with people who are working for the parent company. bonuses were a joke at best, averaging a little under half a percent per year well I was there. Pay was on the lowerside, I got a 20% raise when I left jamco.

The single best way to tell an employee that you like what they are doing and want them to keep doing a good job is with the all mighty green back.

    Interview Details

I had a quick talk with HR then a phone interview with the manager a few days later. My biggest issue was that the impression I got from the job description and speaking with HR wasn't quite what the manager described to me after I had already been answering questions with my emphasis in the wrong place. Ask questions about the job before the official interview if you need clarification. They also let me know they were looking at an internal candidate as well.

    Interview Questions
    • They asked a lot of behavioral questions so be prepared with a few situations where you worked successfully on a project, with a difficult coworker, etc.   Answer Question
