I have been working at Jet's Pizza part-time (more than a year)

Great extra income for a full time student who already has an almost internship. I work only one shift a week and enjoy it. Very easygoing and laid back environment. Management is relaxed and runs a tight ship while being kind and understanding of their employees. I spend 90% of the time in my car driving and listening to music. Free pizza too!

The pay can be very inconsistent. If it's a busy night, a driver can make upwards of $100 in tips. A slow night or day can mean only $10 or $20. And this really has nothing to do with the driver's effort or performance. The customer usually decides what to tip before the pizza is delivered. If there is a mistake (pizza made incorrectly) or if the delivery is late, it is typically the fault of someone in the kitchen. Usually you have no control over what you'll make in a night. Paying for the shirts and winter clothing was a nuisance also.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more opportunities for employees to advance in the company. Drivers and kitchen workers would be motivated to perform better if these positions were openly discussed as stepping stones for moving up into management or a career in the corporate office.

Asked like 3 Questions when I walked in. Then said come to work the next week. Then I came in and worked. It was that easy. I am not sure how it could really be that easy.

This restaurant company takes flight with pepperoni power. Jet's America is the franchisor of Jet's Pizza, a chain with about 190 locations in a dozen states, mostly in Michigan. The pizzerias offer a variety of traditional and specialty pizzas, as well as sub-style sandwiches, salads, chicken wings, and other side dishes. Most locations provide dine-in seating, as well as delivery and carry-out service. Brothers Eugene and John Jetts started the quick-service company in 1978 and began franchising in the early 1990s.
