FlexFit Cafeteria Benefits

To help promote a healthy environment, we offer a variety of benefits to encourage employees to choose alternative methods of transportation to and from work.

Recognized by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U. S. Department of Transportation as one of the best commuter workplaces in the nation, our goal is to help reduce traffic and air pollution by providing employees with these benefits.

Commute Solutions Program

This program incorporates commute subsidy alternatives such as:

  • Subsidized BART and bus tickets
  • Subsidized carpool and vanpool programs
  • Special parking considerations for carpools and vanpools
  • Taxi service to and from the BART station for employees
  • Incentives are offered to employees taking commute alternatives as well as to employees who use designated off-site parking.
  • Designated bike racks and lockers are available for employees who choose to bike commute.
  • Employees are also eligible for partial reimbursement of other applicable commute-appropriate transit passes, such as WHEELS from the Tri-Valley to Walnut Creek, Solano BART Express from Vacaville, BayLink from Vallejo/Benicia to BART and other transit options such as Amtrak.

Conveniently located in the Nob Hill shopping center on Oak Grove Road in Walnut Creek, the WeeCare Campus Day Care provides:

• Backup childcare that is available when your regular childcare or school is
not available

• Childcare for children with mild illnesses that prevent them from going to
their regular childcare provider or school

• Full time transitional care for infants to help with a parent's return to work,
for children from the age of 6 weeks or older

    I have been working at John Muir Health full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Lots Of Jobs to be had, fair pay, good working conditions, leadership is dedicated, Patients are well treated. good benefits and insurance.

    Cons

    New management and new management styles seem to not really care about the way things have been done to build the reputation John Muir now has, aggressive cost cutting and budget cutting in order to free up money for new practice's and facility acquisitions will eventually affect patient care and the overall reputation.

    Listen to staff before problems arise, remember that it is the common staff that keeps the place operating and they are the first face the public sees.

    I applied online. The process took 8 weeks - interviewed at John Muir Health in January 2014.

    Interview Details

    I was excited to be called back for a second interview with the hiring manager. The second interview included a skills test & a meeting with other staff members. I thought it went well & when I left she indicated they were just looking for the right fit & would get back to us within a week or two. I sent thank you notes and a follow-up note, but was never contacted again. I assume they hired another candidate, but I think it is unprofessional and disrespectful that they did not, at least send a "thanks, but no thanks" note.

    • Nothing really unusual. Behavioral question: how would you handle a situation where you were busy with closing the books and someone had an urgent ad hoc request? There was also a basic accounting test.   Answer Question
