    Recommends

I have been working at Jumpstart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you get a good classroom, and a good team, the job will be a lot of fun. A lot of hands on experience with the public school system and with the preschoolers. Definitely a part time job though. Very few opportunities for significant advancement.

    Cons

Jumpstart definitely feels corporate, and a lot of mandates come from higher up. So there isn't as much freedom, flexibility, and autonomy as other jobs I have had.

    Advice to Management

More classroom assistance time might help us get to know our teachers and students better! I would love also to have additional opportunities for professional development.

I filled out an application online on Jumpstart website. I had an on campus interview the next week. It was a very laid back interview. Received an email a few days later saying I got into the program.
