I worked at KBC Advanced Technologies

    Pros

Extremely friendly, professional and diverse office environment, which naturally facilitates communication and project progress/success. Plenty of opportunities for internal (free) and external (subsidized) training, as well as subsidized higher education. Comparatively little stress with little influence on personal life, for the most part.

    Cons

Departmental staffing balance a little off - some departments are a little overstaffed, some are seriously understaffed. Training coverage can be patchy at times, due to not having enough experts to cover a broad range of specialized fields.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate efficiency can certainly be increased significantly by considering the workloads of each group and re-balancing labor as appropriate.

    Application Details

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a weekinterviewed at KBC Advanced Technologies.

    Interview Details

Interview with managers, consultants--some technical content but had experience with working with the company as a client and knew consultants already within the organization which greatly smoothed the process. Interview was in Houston, Texas at KBC offices in the Energy Corridor. HR setup travel arrangements (many hotels nearby). KBC is relatively flat organization so interviewed with 3 managers and consultants and with HR manager.

    Interview Questions
    • Not many difficult questions as I was familiar with the organization as a client. Technically, I didn't get any "zingers" --but knowledgeable people ask questions concerning past projects and expect to get answers that display competency and level of involvement. I enjoyed the process and people.   Answer Question
