I worked at KBW full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Culture is a lot more laidback than the traditional bulge-bracket shops
-Senior bankers treat the bullpen with a lot of respect
-Salary is in-line with what you'd expect for a boutique

    Cons

-Just because deals are smaller in size and volume, doesn't mean they expect you to be in the office any less. Face-time is still considered customary.
-Not sure how things have changed since they were acquired by Stifel.

Pretty stuffy overall. Firm is going through a major consolidation due to recent merger with Stifel. Met with 2nd guy in line within Research and he didn't seem too interested at all in hiring anyone.
