I worked at KBW full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-Culture is a lot more laidback than the traditional bulge-bracket shops
-Senior bankers treat the bullpen with a lot of respect
-Salary is in-line with what you'd expect for a boutique

    Cons

-Just because deals are smaller in size and volume, doesn't mean they expect you to be in the office any less. Face-time is still considered customary.
-Not sure how things have changed since they were acquired by Stifel.

I was contacted for an interview for the training program they are bringing back through a connection. It moved rather quickly for them to bring me in. But I was never contacted after, for rejection or acceptance. Even after emailing each person I met with, only one person replied back "wishing me luck".
