Kabam is the leader in the western world for free-to-play core games with 1st and 3rd party published titles available on mobile devices and the Web. The company is revolutionizing the video games industry by innovating in the business of gaming, game discovery, and great games.
Unlike traditional console video games, Kabam games are available to play for free virtually anywhere gamers look for their entertainment—on mobile devices via the Apple Store or Google Play and on the Web via Facebook, Yahoo, Kabam.com and other platforms.
Kabam’s “freemium” business model enables players to access games at no cost or obligation, unlike console games that are expensive to buy or inconvenient to rent, and are played only on stationary and costly hardware devices that are upgraded about every seven years. Players who enjoy Kabam games can pay for premium content in the game to enhance their playing experience. The average Kabam player is highly engaged, playing more than two hours a day.
Console quality graphics and next generation technology are the hallmark of Kabam games. The company merges the art of game design and the science of consumer behavior to create immersive games that span multiple genres, including strategy, role-playing games (RPG), racing, action and adventure, and casino.
Kabam games include some of the most recognizable brands in the world. Kabam’s hit franchise Kingdoms of Camelot has grossed more than $200 million in less than four years and is one of the top ten strategy franchises of all time. Dragons of Atlantis is another top 20 strategy game. Kabam has partnered with leading Hollywood studios for mobile and Web games based on such iconic films as The Hobbit, Fast & Furious 6, and The Godfather.
Kabam also publishes games by third party developers, including Book of Heroes (iOS) and Wartune (Kabam.com). Launched in 2012, Kabam Publishing provides outside developers access to the same technology platform and marketing tools that Kabam’s in-house development teams use to bring wildly popular games to players worldwide. In April 2013, Kabam announced the $50 million WWDevFund to help eastern game developers bring their games to western markets.
Kabam has partnered with some of the world’s best brands to transform the traditional gaming industry, including:

I have been working at Kabam full-time (less than an year)Pros
Just joined recently and wasn't sure what I'd think of it given reputation. It's way, way better than I expected.
-Transparent leaders who give lots of information on where the business is going and why
-Teams given the support and resources necessary to make great games
-Organization is focused on making fun gamesCons
-Historic baggage from making niche web games (people assume the company is something that it isn't)
-Feels a little more like a "big company" than a startup, so if you're expecting lightning fast startup decision making, it's not there anymoreAdvice to ManagementAdvice

I applied online. The process took 1+ week – interviewed at Kabam in August 2014.Interview Details
I spoke with the Kabam recruiter who put me in touch with someone on the team who gave me a 20 minute phone screen. They followed up to schedule an interview. The on-site interview lasted a few hours. I spoke with 8 or 10 different folks, mostly engineers. There were lots of technical questions, writing code on the blackboard, etc. Everyone was friendly.Negotiation DetailsThey made me an offer that was slightly better than the package I had at my last job. I took a few days to think about it and accepted the offer.Accepted OfferPositive ExperienceAverage Interview
