I worked at Karmaloop full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I started at Karmaloop as a general intern, helping various departments and getting a feel for the company as a whole. Over time I was given the opportunity to share my ideas in marketing brainstorm sessions and it was that little spark of support that really got me focused on a career path. I started interning for the marketing team and found so much support, collaboration, and opportunities to put my ideas into motion. Eventually I was hired as a marketing assistant, by the same team that helped train me and taught me about digital and guerrilla marketing. I became part of the team, and that is more than I ever expected. It's a very fast-paced company and it is challenging juggling many tasks at once sometimes, but it certainly the most experience I will probably ever gain in one position. For that I am thankful. Due to family being on the opposite coast, unfortunately I had to leave the team and company, but they also assisted me with great references and leads to help me continue on my career path. I'll always be thankful for the opportunity KL gave me!

    Cons

It is certainly a fast-paced workplace and often you have to take ownership and learn by trial and error but I found that to be very beneficial to my own personal growth.

Brought in via a recruiter - Recruiter interviewed me onsite at her office and advised me on dress and tone etc. Interview occurred a few days later. I was offered the job on the spot. Not a particularly strenuous interview, seemed like they were focused on fit. Only met with my direct supervisor (CTO)
