Senior Consultant, Change Communications

As a Senior Consultant, you play a lead role in developing and implementing change initiatives that impact organizational performance, including strategy development, leadership behavior, culture change, communications and organizational processes and structures. You are exposed to a broad range of industries, clients and business issues that will enhance your business acumen and deepen your existing problem solving and project management consulting skills.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Consultant is responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day project work for multiple clients. The Senior Consultant will provide guidance to other team members and direction to complete the client work including deliverable execution with minimal supervision. You lead organizational initiatives such as sales pitches, business development, and thought leadership pieces. You have the opportunity to mentor and manage junior staff.

In cooperation with your manager, you help design and deliver solutions that may include:

  • Designing/conducting  organizational assessments
  • Designing communication strategies and developing content
  • Creating and facilitating learning experiences including workshops and strategy sessions at all levels in an organization
  • Developing change strategies and providing implementation recommendations and support
  • Assessing team effectiveness through role clarity, structural and team building exercises     
  • Conducting process improvement mapping, analysis, costing and recommendations
  • Developing measurement strategies and implementation support

Qualifications:

  • We seek candidates with an advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or comparable experience.
  • Individual MUST have 4-6 years of practical experience in organizational and change management consulting
  • Deep understanding of business fundamentals, corporate strategy and organizational issues
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to identify and implement appropriate interventions
  • Experience working in a client-oriented, professional services environment with Fortune 500 organizations preferred
  • Strong communication, including facilitation and negotiation skills required
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills combined with a creative or visionary mindset
  • Exceptional  written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to distill complex information into key themes. Recognizing nuances in the data and using that data to tell a compelling story for the client
  • Must be able to masterfully deal with ambiguity and multi-tasking demands
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to high quality and service excellence
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • People development experience required
  • Project management experience required
  • Position requires travel as needed for project work (generally 15-30%)

Its a great place to start a career in consulting, as you're able to grow within the organization and learn from an amazing team of peers and leaders. You get an opportunity to contribute directly to projects, interact with colleagues and clients and build your brand. Once you gain the experience and confidence that you need to be able to lead projects and manage relationships, there are plenty of opportunities for growth within the organization. Overall an excellent place to work and grow

    Cons

    Just like any other place, it takes time to get comfortable and find your voice. However, the great part about K-Change is that they understand that and that everyone develops at different paces, so there's less overall pressure from the beginning

    Continue on the path that you're headed in. I see the business of K-Change continuing to grow and the work culture and opportunities continuing to get better and better as time goes on
