    I have been working at Knowland Group full-time for less than a year


    The company is constantly changing and looking for ways to improve and move forward. The culture is extremely friendly and there is always a "buzz" in the office. The people are very bright, and many are industry veterans with a genuine desire to help coworkers learn and succeed. While growing, the overall size of the company is still relatively small, so everyone has at least some access to the C-level. Plus, the Friday happy hours in the DC office build camaraderie.


    While change is good, the typical day-to-day is way too hectic. If upper management has a new whim, everyone is expected to immediately accommodate it and put down everything they're doing to make it happen (regardless of existing priorities). If you cannot adapt to constantly shifting priorities, you may not thrive at Knowland. Also, given the amount of work put in for this company, the pay is hardly competitive and the Paid Time Off leaves something to be desired...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stick to priorities! If you want innovations and new products/features to be successful, more focus needs to go into each one. Constantly changing your mind about what the product team should be focused on makes the product development process a nightmare for everyone (right down to the customers).

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months - interviewed at Knowland Group.

    Interview Details

    Management was very thoughtful, transparent and thorough in the interview process, which I appreciated; the role I was applying for was brand new so obviously having the wrinkles ironed out was critical. I had four interviews over the course of three months -- all went great -- and had follow up conversations with the recruiter which were all great -- then I heard NOTHING. No calls to my references. No courtesy note to say they went with other candidate. No response to my follow up emails. Ultimately a super disappointing and unprofessional ending that was just in bad taste. Speaks volumes of a company, if you ask me.
