I worked at Lakeland Regional Medical Center full-time (more than a year)

Benefits, pay, many shifts to choose from, yearly pay raise until pay cap, clean facilities

In the old wings some new equipment (some beds, stretchers, etc.) cannot fit through the doors or into the room itself because its too small, storage space is very limited so equipment will overflow into hallways creating hazards, night shift staff tends to be hard to work on do to lower staff numbers to do the work. Unfortunately theft is a big issue between coworkers in some wings and the E.D.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create more storage space so equipment doesn't overflow into the hallway's. Train upper level management to know rules better so they don't try tell staff members they are doing something wrong when what they are doing is legal and is standard practice.

I am a new grad RN who is also new to the area. I applied online and was contacted the next week. First, I had an interview with the floor manager and team leader. I was called back for an interview with HR the following week and was offered the position.

    Interview Questions
    • The most difficult question for me as a new grad was, "tell me about a time when you brought a new idea to a supervisor and describe how it was implemented."   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Since I am a new grad, there wasn't any negotiation. They have a chart that outlines RN salary based on experience.
