    Great bonus program for store leadership team. Opportunities for advancement available if assertively asked for. District management respectful of and kind to entire store leadership team, not just senior management. Company is willing to take risks and readjust if not successful. Managers rotate Areas of Responsibility over time so everyone learns.


    Antiquated POS systems. Some mid-level managers seem stuck in their positions, not willing to either advance or seek opportunities elsewhere. Empyloyee discounts could be better especially since employees must wear full outfits and accessories from new lines on Style/Runway weekends.

    Advice to Management

    DMs should promptly call or email a store they plan on visiting if they can't make it for some reason. Please support store leadership team if they deny a return based on company policy! Yes, the customer is usually right but in some cases the customer has a history of abusing company policies and employees!

    I applied in-person – interviewed at Lane Bryant.


    Know current fashions and trends. Know their competitors and what they sell. Be prepared to put an outfit together and explain why you chose it. Be comfortable in your own skin, they want someone who works well with their team. It is advisable to speak with the store manager or assistant manager before applying or interviewing, that is what I did and it made the interview more comfortable. They will ask typical interview questions, nothing too invasive or out-of-the-ordinary. Really, they are focused on you and your style and if you will be able to sell their credit cards - if you are customer-service oriented, you will likely do well in the interview and the job.
