What's better working at your own time and pay is reasonable for the work you do. Very helpful working option for extra income for stay at home spouses or mommies!

Reviews are done at random and by email lacking human touch. Hours worked are not always hours paid, meaning, it might take a bit longer to get the tasks accomplished, but you are expected to bill average time required to finish the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Personalized advice to employees for the great and/or poor work from management at least via email will help a lot. I know we are contractors (search engine evaluators), but still would you not like it if we cared about the company as a whole a little better?

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at Leapforce.

    Interview Details

There was no real interview. I submitted my application and resume on November 15, and heard back from Leapforce within a few hours. On Nov 19, they emailed me again, informing me that I had passed the initial qualification phase, and they invited me to continue with the qualification process. I then logged on and took what I can best describe as a basic skills test, and was assigned a project. On Nov 20th I received another email with a beginning date for my exam (Nov 21) and a link to study materials for the upcoming (3 part) exam. This manual is 160 pages and if you want to stand any chance of passing the qualification exam, you will read it in it's entirety, and you might want to take notes! I was given a window of 6 days to study the guide, and complete the exam. The test is broken into 3 phases, and you must pass each phase in order to gain access to the next phase. You are allowed to use the study guide during the exam, but trust me, if you do not read the materials and have a basic understanding of them before you take the tests, you will likely fail. If you do read the materials the test can still be challenging, but you'll know where to look in the guide to quickly refresh your memory during the test. I signed in to take the test on the evening of the last day that I could take it. That was a mistake! The tests are very lengthy, and although I finished in time, it was a very close call. I finished the 3rd section within minutes of the deadline which was November 28th at 12:00 am PST. On December 1st, Leapforce emailed me telling me that I had passed the 3rd part of the exam, and they offered me a contract. So, overall from application to offer was just over 2 weeks.

    Negotiation Details
There is no negotiation. There is a set hourly rate at which everyone starts, depending on the project you select/are assigned to. For me, $13.50/hr to start. I can not yet confirm this, but my understanding is that if you make it through your first 6 months with good evaluations, you may receive an increase to over $17.00/hr.
