I worked at Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies part-time for more than a year

The pay was good, the hours were constant, and there was a lot of down time. This job teaches you time management and brings out your creativity. There's also lots of opportunities for growth in the company.

The chlorine in the air, the constant whining from corporate about cleaning and small, worthless, time consuming details. Also the customers can get rather rude and having nobody to turn to really sucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you have a cool GM like I did, your time at Leslie's will be legit. Befriending them is a must.

    Interview Details

Apply online selecting the store you want to work at, recruiter called 2 weeks later, 35 minute phone interview with a recruiter, if selected to advance, interview in person with the District Manager. If the District Mgr. thinks you are qualified, you will not be offered a job on the spot. Instead you will be told your information will be reviewed. Heard nothing for over 3 weeks then got a call from the Store Manager of a location that was close to me who wanted to schedule an in person interview. Had a 5 minute in person interview, was told schedule can change weekly, the hourly pay rate, and a start date was agreed upon.
