    Pros

    Wonderful, incredibly talented people. Sink-or-swim environment is daunting at first, but can be rewarding. Minimal micromanagement.

    One of the most forward-thinking companies in the industry (almost to a fault). Very innovative products that are fun to work on.

    Excellent work environment with great parties. Nightly music jams. Halloween is a blast for your entire family.

    Depending on the gig, telecommuting may not be a problem. Pretty flexible hours.

    One of two original founders is the new CEO, and will hopefully return Line 6 to its roots.

    Cons

    A lot of turnover, but sometimes due to sniping by bigger companies, like Apple and JPL. Development slows to a crawl after each exodus, and workload increases.

    Poorly-implemented Agile practices from influx of ex-AVID employees (most of whom have since exited) continue to leave scars.

    Advice to Management

    It's extremely expensive to lose talent, knowledge, and experience. Do whatever you can to keep your best employees.

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Line 6 (Calabasas, CA) in June 2013.

    Interview

    My initial screening was over the phone with HR which went well and it was a very well communicated conversation. After the phone screening I had interview scheduled to speak with the Director of Sales Ops. and the Sales Analyst. Overall went very well and was pleased with the conversation and how direct it was. The two Line 6 executives who interviewed me were not only very professional, but also warm and welcoming. It took a few weeks before I heard back from HR, but I endeded up being a perfect fit. Overall process A+

    • Describe how you handled a situation with a very disasstisfied customer. Where you able to come to a resolution with this customer without having your supervisor intervene?   Answer Question

    Negotiation

    The offer was better than I had even expected so I did not even negotiate. I accepted the job right on the spot.
