I have been working at MAQ Consulting as a contractor for less than a yearPros
I am working on my second contract for MAQ. Unlike other staffing agencies that maintain chic offices with piles of cool schwag, MAQ's Redmond offices are bare bones. That said, they actually know their stuff. They took the time to understand my skills and qualifications, and were then able to forward me opportunities that were a great fit.
MAQ gives you the option of working with or without benefits. If you opt for benefits, the pay rate will be a few dollars less per hour, but the benefits are GREAT for an agency. "With benefits" will get you all 8 Microsoft paid holidays, plus 8 hours of paid time off per month, for a total of 20 days off, paid, per year. Benefits also include medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401K plan with matching contributions.Cons
For the most part MAQ only partners with Microsoft and T-Mobile. Most if not all of the Microsoft contracts offered are a- (adjunct, rather than v- or vendor), but they are with high profile groups. Payday is only once a month (ouch!)Advice to ManagementAdvice

The process took a day - interviewed at MAQ Consulting in March 2010.Interview Details
This was the most negative interview I've encountered. I met with 3 interviewers one at a time. The first 2 were polite and kind. The last person could barely conceal her disdain regarding my portfolio work and perhaps me in general. She began to pick apart details within my projects, in an accusative manner. She would ask "Why did you use all caps here?" After I would answer, she would quickly follow with "But why did you do this?" about some other text-related detail. So basically I would answer the same question 3 times. The more she asked "Why...?" The more hateful her tone was, despite my responding in a succinct manner.
Then some 8 months later, I received an email from one of the previous interviewers. She wrote that there was a job available and if I was interested. I emailed back that I was but then I did not receive another email back.
This company's conduct was nowhere in the realm of decent.Interview Questions
